Re: Pure Culture



Andy, as someone whose roots in the Moscow-Troy area go back well over one 
hundred years, I hope I'll be allowed a tiny amount of small town 
provincialism.  Did any Palouse area natives inform you of a need to 
maintain your idea of "purity" in our towns?  I, coming from a family of 
Troy area settlers who first sunk roots here in the late 1800's, am of 
mostly Swedish heritage.  I am certainly not in favor of the idea of 
encountering nothing but boring old Scandinavian faces wherever I go.  Nor 
would I enjoy a steady diet of mayonnaise on white bread for sustenance.  I 
greatly prefer hearty multi grain bread, it's so much healthier for you.  
You should try it.
