That web site lists two definitions. The first was by the George Weinberg who
coined the homophobia term in the late 1960s. It was "...heterosexuals' dread
of being in close quarters with homosexuals as well as homosexuals' self
loathing."
The second comes from the 1992 American Standard Dictionary, which calls it
an "aversion to gay or homosexual people or their lifestyle or culture."
Which version does the WSU Safe Zone card refer to?
