Here's a copy of an email Karen Jennings sent to the CQE listserve to
announce our meeting tonight with Candis Donicht and Brenda Richards.

This school year has started off smoothly and positively from my family's
perspective.  This good situation can not be taken for granted, though, as
it was hard won after a five-month effort to assure that the citizens of
Moscow recognized the importance of financially supporting the quality of
education we enjoy in our public schools.

We can all feel very proud of what we accomplished and relieved that the
past school year is behind us.  However, there is more work to be done to
assure the financial and community support continues to be there and to
address ongoing issues for improving upon our fine public school district.

The first meeting of the school year will take place on Monday, September
16, at 7 pm in the l912 Center.  Candis Donicht, the new district
superintendent, and Brenda Richards, the new chair of the School Board
will be our guests for an open discussion.

This meeting is free and open to the public. All are invited to attend and
be a part of this wonderful group of people who made a difference for the
children of Moscow last school year and who are committed to continuing
their support.

Please take the time to come to this meeting, and tell others about it,
too. It is a great opportunity to meet and dialog with our new district
leadership and to show this leadership what kind of incredible group
stands behind the public schools.
