Re: Postpone taxcuts.
Yes, folks paid into the idea that working ( being a self reliant part of
the economy ) is a good thing. It is a good thing, and it does need to be
preserved. However, just because the economy has gone into recession, do
you really believe that all of those who did and have since lost thier jobs
should immediately think of becoming welfare kings and queens again? Sounds
to me like they never bought into anything relating to self reliance(except
the notion that a job was a necessary short term inconvienence until the
economy stumbled).
As for the Enron employees, the brass is being considered for criminal
prosecution. If they are, prosecute, convict, and punish them. Learn from
what they did and attempt to make it hard to happen again. By your logic,
(corporate america is evil because Enron brass are crooks), we should
consider evil, say, all arabic nationals evil since Bin Laden is a crazed
lunatic, or all african americans are lunatics since Tyson is a warped,
delusional, masochist).
Do you really thing that the Enron brass would not have gotten away with the
charade for so long under the Dem's. Oh wait, this has been going on for
years and, if I can remember way back when, wasn't that slanderizing,
schmuck of a President, Bill Clinton in office in the recent past? (...and
thank God it is the past.)
As for placing faith, God is the place, not anything or anyone on or of
this earth.
