position on the MDS Bd of Trustees was announced at last night's 
meeting)

John:  I would like to say a public "thank you" for your service on the Moscow 
School District Board of Trustees.  I was very much saddened last year when 
some who disagreed with your opinions attacked not your thinking and rationale, 
but your integrity.  It is an unfortunate situation when a volunteer with 
virtually nothing to gain personally from the decisions he is helping make is 
accused of acting somehow other than in the best interests of the children he 
has chosen to serve.  Thank you for the many hours of your time you contributed 
to the children of Moscow and to our schools.  Whether we saw eye to eye on 
every issue or not, I respected your dedication, spirit, and willingness to 
listen.  Know that there are many of us out here who appreciate all that you 
did and are sorry to see you step down.  I look forward to seeing you in other 
venues.  Best wishes to you and your family.
