Bert et al.,
Is there a possibility that individuals of the Vision2020 list server could spin
off an electronic newpaper alternative to the local papers.
It seems to me that we are already providing that function, in part, with our
exchanges of upcoming events, editorial, and reporting. We've got the
talent within our ranks to make a first rate operation that focuses
its attention on the local political forum function that you
described w/ advertising and the whole bit.
An electronic paper is cost effective
in that it does not require a printing or distribution investment. Am
I dreaming or is this a real possibility? Perhaps we could be on the
crest of the newspaper wave of the future! My guess is that First
Step Research would be interested in talking to us in as much as a
local electronic paper would help promote subscriptions to their
internet service.
Finger to the wind & testing for reality,
Steve Cooke
