Re: Naylor Farms water request



Thank you Julia for an explanation of the role Brent Thomspon has played
in the Deary clay mining proposal and this new clay mining proposal at
Naylor Farms.  The Naylor Farms request never made sense as an
agriculture proposal--but it does make more economic sense as a clay
mining venture disguised as organic ag.
I continue to wonder why Latah County is not involved in the
discussion--after all as Naylor Farms pumps the aquifer dry, it will be
the private farm wells that will fail first.
I also wonder why these private negotiations between Naylor Farms and
the cities of Moscow and Pullman are still off limits to media and to
the public.
I hope the public meetings about ground water scheduled this week will
explain some of this.
