John et. al.
If someone wanted to comment on a post from an events only list, they could
just post to the discussion list and indicate they are COMMENTING on an
event listed on the events only list. How would discussion be censored?
I think the main issue for many people is that they want to use vision2020
for keeping up with community events and issues, but find the quantity
and/or quality of posts recently to be overwhelming and/or a waste of time.
For those of us who have the time and/or inclination to deal with going
through the list and deleting what we are not interested in, this is not a
major problem, but for some people it is.
I have been keeping track of the vision2020 subscriber list, and it has
grown smaller from 468 to 461 in the past few months. This is hardly a mass
defection from the list, and it so easy to unsubscribe, that I conclude
discontent with vision2020 is not as intense or as widespread as some
suggest.
