Happy diversions

I'm so glad to see this mailing list hasn't changed. Instead of discussing
real threats to civil liberties (the Bush positions on the first, second,
fourth, fifth, ninth and tenth amendments for six), as far as I can tell,
the vast energies of the people involved in the list have been diverted into
endless attentions about things that matter not (nipples, churches).

To allude to an historically inaccurate anecdote, I'll be handing out
fiddles, folks, stop by Anytown USA and let's watch the fires.
