I absolutely positively
agree with this statement, and thanks for bringing it up . . . it is
*shameful*, IMHO. And, while I've not had first-hand experience, I've also heard that
medical care is sometimes substandard as well . . .
For those who aren't aware
of these facts, please take the time to do some research, or talk to some
enlisted folks.
While I will undoubtedly
object to much of what our defense dollars are spent on, I sadly don't think
there will come a time in my life when I'll think we've spent adequately on our
enlisted personnel and their families. I hope I'm wrong . .
.
There may be a lot we don't
agree on (I still think your response was harsh, and I don't necessarily agree
with all of your assessment in your response), but we *do* agree on how
terrible pay & and living standards can be/are for our
enlisted personnel and their families . . . and I do sincerely appreciate the
dialogue.
