This is what I enjoy most about postmodern relativist discussions.
I remember asking my freshman class whether it was morally wrong for the
Germans to kill the Jews during WWII. The majority opinion was that it
would be wrong for us, but not for them (since that was their value
system). When I pressed them as to whether we had the right to enter
into the war and impose our values on them, the overwhelming answer was
again "no, we cannot force our values on others."
In that system, every value is neutral and relative.
Doug told you explicitly in his point #3 that "racially based slavery is
sin" (http://lists.fsr.com/vision2020/2002/0208/msg00245.html). That's a
solidly biblical position.
So, Ms. Huskey, can you tell us *why* slavery is wrong in your system?
And on what basis you would impose your values on others?
