Keep Subject Headings Consistent In "Threads"

Visionaries:

Some individuals who participate in vision2020 are answering specific posts 
from other individuals about specific subjects, but when they post their 
reply they alter the subject heading completely.  This interferes with 
decision making for those who wish to manage their reading of vision2020 
posts, insofar as they might open a post, based on the subject heading, 
regarding an ongoing discussion they DO NOT WANT TO READ, wasting their 
time.  And conversely, they will have difficulty finding the posts regarding 
the particular exchange of ideas they DO WANT TO READ, when the posts in 
that "thread" have such different subject headings it is difficult to find 
them.  More frustration, etc.

I wonder if this is deliberate decision by some who do want people to easily 
follow ongoing discussions where fact and logic are presented that refute 
their point of view.  Nah, couldn't be!

Anyways, this lack of consistency in retaining subject headings for ongoing 
discussions on vision2020 is a valid complaint, and suggests that a computer 
system that tracks posts in particular threads automatically, such as the 
Usenet posts on groups.google.com, should be considered.  This is perhaps 
too expensive and/or complicated for vision2020.
