Correcting the mistake

V2020

Below is the link to the City Code, Chapter 5, which spells out the
methodology for a repeal of an Ordinance.

http://www.moscow.id.us/CityCode/title1/T01C05X.html

Things to note:
1. 20 valid signatures must be gathered to start the referendum process.
2. 20% of the registered voters, at the LAST general election must sign the
petition. (Approx 2300 signatures would be needed to validate the
referendum)
3. The Ordinance must be attached to the petition.
4. Petitioners have 60 Days from the final adoption of the Ordinance to
validate the referendum.
5. Once validated the Council has 30 days to repeal the Ordinance, if they
don't repeal then an election must be held within 90 days.
6. Petitioners must post and adequate bond (approx $5000) to cover the cost
of a special election.

Should someone out there in V2020-land want to lead the referendum, I will
pledge 20 valid signatures and $100 toward the cost of the election. I
however, do not have the time to organize nor chair this effort.
