RE: 7th Graders Islam Studies Spark Hate Mail, Lawsuits
Thanks Debbie. I have used SNOPES often when I read "weird and wonderful"
stories on the net. I first found it when I had been informed that Donald
Duck had been banned in Scandinavia (huh?).
I spend a lot of time telling my kids that the net, in and of itself, is a
very unreliable source of information. There are reputable sites out there,
but you have to match the stories to the source.

See www.snopes.com for further information about this story. As most urban
legends go, there is some truth hidden in it but lots of smoke.
