    The Palouse Pride group is making it easy for us to pledge money to
protest the planned visit by the Kansas hell-fire preacher Fred Phelps
(he says he will come to the UI on July 6 to burn a gay flag).
    The pledge plan sends more money to Palouse Pride the longer Fred
rants.   We pledge a specific amount of money per minute of his
"preaching" and the more Fred raves, the more money goes to Palouse
Pride.  Hopefully, that serves as a disincentive to Fred, or at least is
a creative fundraising opportunity.
