What is the current status of "tracking" in the Moscow school district?
About 8 years ago, I witnessed a meeting where several MJHS teachers equated tracking with venom. They believed all students should lockstep through the same coursework at the same pace. (I believe it was much easier for the teachers to organize their lesson plans this way.)
Typically, this practice produces the expected result of a third of the students being bored while another third is baffled.
Has the pendulum swung anywhere on this topic recently?
