Meeting on the Proposed gym for the Pool Complex on F Street

Dear Visionaries,

 

I have not seen much publicity or heard any conversation on this listserve concerning the future of the proposed activities center, to be financed by the Hamilton bequest.

 

REMEMBER: THE MEETING TO DISCUSS THE PLAN IS THURSDAY NIGHT, JANUARY 17, AT 7 PM AT THE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS!!!

 

If you care about the neighborhood of F and Mountainview, if you hope to see other facilities on the site (maybe the skating rink if the fair grounds don't work out?), if you'd like to see the $4 million pool used for more than 2 months a year, if you have some ideas for what you'd like to see about the activities and design of the facility, management of it, or anything else related (like could we please have some real method of giving kids who can't afford to participate a dignified, direct way of getting into activities?)...

 

YOU NEED TO BE THERE AND MAKE YOURSELF KNOWN!!!
