Re: Democracy or Republic

Our Republic is a Representative Democracy. It is mentioned as such in the 
founding documents.
In my opinion Democracy is the thread of Solidarity that holds our 
Republican Autonomous fabric together.
You can have thread by itself but no cloth without thread.
We are presently still the United States of America...Not the Autonomous 
States in America.
John Adams had some profound comments relating to Republics, Democracy, 
Property ,Mob rule and the power of the middle:
