I have been receiving numerous emails about county residents not  aware of
how much the fairgrounds are used through-out the year.  Petting rabbits,
eating cotton candy & throwing up on carnival rides are just a very small
portion of what the fairgrounds offers.  Everyday the Parent/Toddler Coop
uses the fairgrounds to interact with their children, each weekend a Senior
citizen group uses the kitchen to play cards, the Bow Hunters meet at the
fairgrounds and for the last 16 years Palouse Patchers has used the
fairgrounds for meetings and their annual quilt show.  These are just a
VERY small smathering of the groups and people that use this facility.
Many, many more functions and events take place each month.  In the future
the Fair Board hopes to have their agenda, events and calendar on the
county web site.  In the meantime, you can ask the fair manager for a
calendar.  The renderings of the proposed site are also at the office.  The
proposed building re-model  blends in very nicely with the surrounding
area.
