Re: FYI Fairgrounds upgrade
Terry, you forgot to mention the Holiday Craft events along with all the
estate auctions. There are also various plant and garden sales and
family dances which are alcohol free. Of course, the site is used as a
polling place a few times each year, numerous picnics and 4-H horse
events and 4-H meetings. I attended a dog show open to all breeds and
even those of uncertain breeding. Home and Garden shows have been held
there along with the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Dinner. I am sure I
have also forgotten many other activities. The Moscow Central Lions
also supports the picnic area, shelter and RV sites.
Not all of us will use the swimming pool for the few months it is open
each year, the skate board park, the proposed ice rink and the 1912
Building, the library system, the school system or the fairgrounds but
all of these services and sites add to the "quality of life" in Moscow
for area residents. The difficult part is supporting and funding
adequately all that Moscow offers.
