Highway 95

Dear Friends:

I have been reading the recent post regarding Highway 95 accidents. I'm
real surprised to hear responses where the real problem with the road is
"slow drivers." I can not count how many times I have driven 95 North to
CD'A and encountered drivers passing my slow vehicle, (which was traveling
at the posted speed limit), and have vehicles from small cars to large
cars, and even the 18 wheel variety pass me at any location.
As some of you should know, there are few safe passing locations, and along
with the lack of any shoulder along the pavement there is no place to pull
over.
A year ago I was pulling my 28 foot boat home from CD'A, I had the wide
load signs and all of the required warning lights. I had a small vehicle
pull up behind me and he started blowing his horn at me to pull over. Of
course there was no wide shoulder to pull over to let him go past me, and
when I finally got to the top of the hill, he passed me anyway in a double
yellow area, all the while giving me the "bird" and alot of lip service.

I can hardly believe there are some of you that would blame, "slow drivers"
for the problem.
