Honoring a tireless contributor to our community

Dearest friends,

 

I would like, if I may, to take this time to honor one of our communities great assets; a tireless contributor to the quality of life in our town he has worked tirelessly to promote theater in our town. he has served on the Chamber of commerce and the community theater and has been responsible for cultural enhancement of our community. as many of you undoubtedly have realized by now I am talking about Jerry Schutz. I consider Jerry a friend and would like to thank him for his efforts to enrich our lives a little.

I think sometimes we get too tied up in our own affairs and forget to thank the people in our community for the wonderful things they contribute. I would like to start a new tradition here if I can. let us take the time and honor one member of our community each week. if you know some one who you feel should be honored please send me their name and contributions so I can post one every week here. I think this would be really great. it is also important for the rest of us to know what others are doing to serve the community. I am even thinking about making a web-site for this purpose... what do you think?
