Re: COLUMBINE AND GOD IN THE SCHOOLS?

Thank you for your assessment of my needs Mr. Cronin. There are those out
there who written me today to thank me for taking the position I did take.
If you found my statements to Mr. Coombs offensive then I can tell you that
much of what he said was offensive to myself and some others. I do admit
there has been more negative feedback than positive. Yours is negative feed
back but well taken.
His question was not a question but an indictment of religion is public
schools. His comments went beyond that he was attacking some values.that I
hold precious. Where were you --------living in Canada? Hey very sheik.
"What's up with that? Hey that makes you hip. Well the entire thing is we
have gotten completely off the thing of prayer in public schools.

"I found the point that God had been returned to the public schools because
students prayed during the Columbine massacre --
I found that a little tacky.
There has always been prayer in the schools, as the joke goes, before
exams. Coercing people into praying your prayer to your God in a public
school doesn't seem a great idea to me.
But I'll bet you're happy with the U.S. Congress -- rejecting the
appointment of someone as chaplain because he was a Jew. Apparently the
chaplain is always a Protestant."

Lets face it with this type of rhetoric Don Coombs is as big a jerk as I was
to answer him the way I did. Comments by him are above. Here are a group
of people mourning the loss of their children. Don't you think we could be
a little more sensitive to help them through their period of mourning? No!
according to Mr. Mouth. He found them to be "TACKY". Maybe I will check in
a anger management but maybe we could send Mr. Coombs sensitivity training
as a measure of self- improvement. His comments about Jews is strident
religious prejudice. Where does this fit into the discussion to make any
sense.  Foolish, Foolish comments.  With all due respect;

Wolfgang Schwartzenweintraub
