This reminds me of a guy I worked with who objected to the meeting held
after a product release being called a post-mortem meeting because is
reminded him of death. Way to sensitive for his own good. When a company
changes procurement methods, it is said that they have "adopted industry
standard practices for procurement". Nobody runs around being offended.
The word adopt is not owned by children.

If you mean "worn and battered", well, obviously everyone; why else would
the book be worn out (excepting vandalism)? If you mean "content that is
racy or adult in nature", again, I'd say the answer is a lot of people
judging by the number of businesses that carry such items.
