We can see that some people disagree with which local businesses are
praiseworthy.  There are two things at work here:  The specifics of the
company, and the requirements of the consumer.  I was surprized to hear
someone bad-mouthing Cactus computer.  But that person was naming a slew of
desired products that I have no use for.  If Cactus doesn't compete in that
market, that doesn't make Cactus a bad company.  I remember asking an
employee about setting up my computer as an FTP server.  He recommended
freeware software and told me about a Web site that offered step-by-step
instructions for installation.  All without the hopes of making a nickel.
For my requirements, that's what I call friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.
