I don't know which Husky sport shop you shop at, but I'll never set
foot in there again. The help was arrogant and useless. I wanted to
order some magazines for a rifle; I offered to pre-pay, the owner said
it was OK. I stopped in a couple weeks later and he had "lost the
order". I bought them from Remington directly and had no problems. The
prices on firearms are outrageous and the ammo selection is limited.
Beyond that, I guess it's an OK store but I pull for it to go out of
business every time I drive by it. The help at Wal Mart and Garts are
helpful and they don't try to BS you like they know everything, unlike
Husky.
As for the computer thread, I don't know why anyone would buy anything
locally, except for Staples. I went into Cactus to buy RedHat. I
couldn't find it, I asked and the counter person just stood there
slackjawed. No help at all. I went to Staples and asked for RedHat and
TGBTC said, "5.2 or 6.0?" I nearly fell over. Staples was a last
resort before I drove to Spokane to get it. I have also tried to buy
cables from Cactus and been sorely disappointed. On occasion I've
needed: a laplink cable, a twisty ethernet cable (like a null modem), an 8
port hub(not a cable, obviously), 25 foot CATV cables, and a DB9F-DB9M
null modem. I ended up buying most of this at Staples or mail ordering it.
I've also tried to buy ATA-66 paddles and some slide out IDE trays.
Again, no luck. Now I don't even get my hopes up, I just reach for the
browser and buy it from Central or drop by Fry's when I'm in the
valley.
