Re: more on local businesses

I would like to give a pat on the back to Tri-State. The folks in the
hardware department have seen me through several household projects that
required I learn new tasks (learning how to sweat solder copper pipe and to
replace a toilet). Tri State Clerks take the time to find out how much I
know about the particular project, and provide very useful information about
the products they carry, direct me to informative pamphlets and books. If
Tri State doesn't carry the item I need, they have never hesitated to let me
know where to find it. Workers have a balanced approach, offering help
without hovering, letting me browse, then approaching me again if I seem to
be hovering and comparing for an inordinate period of time. They appear to
be cheerful and happy to help and to share information without condescending.

The shoe department folks have also always been more than helpful and very
patient! They have treated my children with respect while helping with boot
and shoe fittings.

Cheers,
Jennifer
