Dear Visionaries,
I am saddened at the passing of Gladys Bellinger. She was a wonderful woman,
a great role model, always interested in being of service to her students,
her friends, her pets and all the rest of the community that came in contact
with her.
I am heartened, though, to have known and admired such a tireless
professional woman who influenced so many of her students, who reached out
to so many of her friends and who was an Idaho Democrat to her very bone
marrow, supporting (since my advent to the state in 1972) such real stars as
Frank Church, Cecil Andrus, John Evans, John Mix, Orval Snow, Norma Dobler,
Bob Hosack, and Larry LaRocco just to name a few of the state and local
political folks she helped. I'm proud to have had her support in my city
council efforts from the 1970s to the 1990s.
Gladys, God speed. You were a treasure and we were lucky to have you so
long. Can you see her advocating for kids with St. Peter at those
apochryphal pearly gates? I can. And Gladys is getting the best of the
discussion.
In sorrow and in thanks,
Linda Pall
