For pointing out that we live with rules driven by consensus and that there
is an established arena for doing this in a public service context.
This medium can serve some useful purpose too.
At least here we can carry on the debate outside the standard rules of
order..there is no closed for public comment point of order.
Unless someone pulls the plug.
An example of public consensus in the taste department can be found at the
University of Arizona. Where it is zoned that all new building construction
irregardless of design have a minimum percentage of brick
on the exterior. This rule apparently works pretty well for those who have a
taste hang up and has held up for many years.
It is a perfectly acceptable community majority rule.
On the subject of structure verses taste. If the medium of a soda can has
the structural integrity to hold up the minimum requirements of a given
construction I don't think it should be discounted.
A home covered with DUFF beer cans might bring considerable valuable
tourist dollars.
The Kibbi Dome looks like a giant soda can in the dirt to me.
What flavors hit your pallets?
