The City of Moscow is seeking volunteers for its Millennium Friendly
Neighbor Project. The volunteers will be assigned a 4-5 block or less area
within the City as close to their own neighborhood as possible. Each
volunteer will be expected to introduce themselves and to leave information
regarding Y2K with each neighbor in the district assigned to the volunteer
within the first two (2) weeks of December 1999. Each volunteer should be
available to canvass every neighbor in the volunteer's district on January
1, 2000 should there appear to be a significant Y2K problem. In this way
we can assist in seeing to it that, if communication lines are otherwise
disturbed, there is no one within the City of Moscow who is left without
help. All questions regarding volunteers and the project should be
directed to Randy Fife.
Each volunteer should supply their full name, date of birth, social
security number, current address and telephone number to Patti McKinney,
Secretary for the project, on or before November 1, 1999. This information
will be used to perform a background check on the volunteer and to process
an identification card to be issued to each volunteer. Patti may be
reached at 883-7000, by fax at (208) 883-7018, or e-mail at
