There is a great exhibit at the SUB Ballroom on the UI campus on the
"Long Walk Back to Freedom". This is being put on by John Crout, a
teacher/counselor with the Moscow School District, who is probably
better know from his football days at UI and his position as an
umpire for the Moscow-Pullman softball games. John put together a
fine collection of art, tapes, videos, books, etc. on
African-American contributions and it is well worth a visit. Exhibit
dates and times are listed at the temporary website:
www.kitchenculturekit.com/longwalktofreedom
John is also a fellow classmate in graduate school here at UI so I am
somewhat biased, but this is a good exhibit..............carol
