The Whitman County Board of Commissioners has decided not to extend the 
comment period for the proposed re-zoning of the Moscow/Pullman Corridor.  
Thus, today is the last day to comment.  The BOCC has tentatively set August 
18th as the day that they will discuss among themselves the future of the 
proposed ordinance.  There are indications that the ordinance, as presented 
by the Planning Commission, may be adopted without change.  The BOCC 
members, I think, may be coming to the conclusion that another SEPA review 
of a revised ordinance may not help their cause.  On August 18, the Board 
will probably set a date to vote on the ordinance.
