Dog Park Thanks yous!

July 24, 1999
Dog Park solicitation at Farmer’s Market, Moscow

Well, it rained in the early morning and poured about noon but in between,
it was wonderful and people were interested and generous!

We had a great brochure and a canine representative (Ella, the English
Setter…Count was home because Linda couldn’t handle two English Setters and
schmoozing at the same time). Ella’s manners were perfect the entire
morning. She shared treats with her canine friends, endured the showers, and
sat on command. She was a big hit with kids, other dogs, and friendly
grown-ups who needed a bit of puppy patting. Many people pledged and others
put in cash donations.

The good news on money is:
	Cash $29.19
        Checks $40.00
	Pledges $660.00

	Total from 7/24/99:	$729.19

Add this to the $2,300.00 already raised by Tom Anderson and the Dog Park
Committee and we are close to our $5,000.00 goal. The City has set aside the
property (just north of the Animal Shelter on White Avenue) and $5,000.00
for this project. The sooner we raise the public contributions, the sooner
our pups will have a fenced, safe place to romp.

You can send your TAX DEDUCTIBLE contribution directly to the City of Moscow
Dog Park Fund, PO Box 9203, Moscow, ID 83843. A completely fenced, safe,
landscaped area for dogs and their owners to recreate without the worry of
Bowser running into traffic or otherwise was welcomed by the folks who
stopped to talk Saturday. If you would like to help, please join us next
Saturday at the Farmer’s Market between 8 AM and 1 PM!

In the meantime, all the best,
Linda Pall
