Quad Cities Transportation Issues

Proposals on the table and discussion about highway
expansion and corridor development between Moscow and
Pullman beg community mobilization, and I think Tom
Lamar makes an excellent point that we need to have a
serious examination of the rationale or lack thereof
with regard to the project.

In addition, Linda Pall's recent editorial questioning
the logic of the Highway 95 project (earmarked to
build a four-lane road between Moscow and Genesee)
also alerts us to yet more misguided planning and
direction with regard to transportation in the Quad
Cities area.

No answers here or even any bold new ideas. But it
seems like at the very least the citizens of Moscow
might form a task force of sorts to investigate the
history and details of both the "Corridor" and "95"
projects. Obviously there is alot at stake.

Is there any kind of regional (or even local)
transportation plan in place that provides guidelines
for these types of projects?
