That would be a good solution except that there are very few roads in the
state that are accessible for direct travel north and south. When I was
living back east and had toll roads to use as an option, it was convenient
because they were always well maintained, but the cost was always high and
there were delays associated with toll booths and people who did not have the
common sense to have the exact change to use. Why not add another lottery?
People seem all to eager to show that they failed math and throw money down a
hole at a chance worse than getting struck by lightning. that seems to make
some money for our schools... Why not the highways? You have got to keep in
mind that the moneys generated by cities have to send a part of that to the
state (Boise). the money that gets spread out does not necessarily reflect
the money sent in... I don't know if any of you remember that a bill was
signed by the president in the not too recent past that allocated funds for
our state to do improvements on our intestates, but part of that federal money
was to make a 4 lane highway between Moscow and Genesee... that should help
things a bit...
