I just hope that after all is said and done, we end up with a choice.  

I won't put out recyclables every week.  

I like letting them pile up in the basement until it is a big chore.  

Given the low volume of garbage/recyclables that my household generates,
sorting stuff and taking things to the curb every week would be a bigger
hassle than going to the recycling center every few months.
