Re: Curbside Recycling

Curbside recycling does work well in San Jose. Each residence has one
large bin for garbage, one large bin for grass/tree clippings, and small
color coded bins for recycling. Apartment complexes are also set up with
garbage and large recycling bins. This system is substantially less
unsightly than the days when n-number of mish-mash and beat to hell plastic
and metal overloaded trash cans were allowed to be dragged out to the
curbside on garbage day. Even worse was the carnage remaining after the
trucks had passed...with empty garbage cans and garbage can lids strewn
about the curbsides.
