Re: Toxic Palouse? It's your choice!
Okay Briana, Here's the correction you asked for.
Find the following site that is all about the compounds that'll be
released if this stuff is incinerated in Pullman.
It's: http://users.pullman.com/jackdoll/incin.htm
Your "how in the world can this stuff be harmful" attitude is
amazing. I'd consider hitting the site then attending the hearing to
ask some questions if I were you. You might learn something.
Huh? Please, anyone knowledgeable on the subject correct me if I'm
wrong about these definitions, but:
Infectious medical waste=anything that has touched a bodily fluid, I
guess.
low-level radioactive waste=gloves, etc. that have touched radioactive
stuff, and don't generate radiation themselves.
pathological waste=diseased kidneys? Cancerous tissues that have been
removed from people?
How on earth would the burning of any of the above have an adverse
effect upon the air we breathe? Letting WSU incinerate its own waste
sounds like a great idea to me. The only better idea would be to let
the local private sector burn it for them.
