What if, instead of an indoor pool, Moscow were to build a really nice
recreational facility next to the outdoor pool? Something with basketball
courts, indoor soccer, indoor climbing apparatus for toddlers, climbing
wall, some fitness equipment, and a drop in child care center.

>From what I've heard, such a facility makes money and would more than make
up for the operating losses of a pool.

It would provide youth and adults with indoor recreation opportunities
during the long winter months (and even longer spring months!).

If the city buys the land at F and Mountainview, there's more than enough
room there.

In other words, do those of us who want an indoor pool want to swim, or do
we want indoor recreation?
