Joan that's what you need to find out. I challenge you to become a member
of either the Chamber of Commerce or the EDC, and become part of the
solution. I know nothing of your background or how you come to Moscow, but
will assume it's UI related by your address.

I can site numerous examples from both groups and what they are doing but
that would take more space than I really care to write. I will site one
example from each organization from the past year.

EDC: Alturas Tech Park. Keeping high paying, clean jobs at home.

Chamber: Education Committee. School to work, Moscow style. Working with
the School Dist. to help prepare students for the working world. Though the
Teacher-in-the-Workplace, and Teacher-for-a Day programs. As well as hiring
a full-time business education coordinator, to link together businesses and
schools for the benefit of students.

I encourage you to sit down and talk with Rob at the EDC, and with ElDonna
at the Chamber. Find out which committee is focusing on your area of
interest and become involved.

It has been my experience that it order to effect change you have to do more
than just complain. Please take up my challenge and find out what the EDC
and the Chamber are doing for you.

Jerry
