You expressed it well, Karen. We feel a great sense of loss from the
closing of the Hotel dining room and deli. It's so much a part of
Friendship Square, the F.Market and the heart of Moscow. We thank the Bode
family for making it special for several years -- reviving it from an aging
hotel and bus station, and providing fine dining with years of conscious
waiters (friends), and for providing a place for us to hear James Reid
regularly on Sundays. But, I'm sorry the Garden Lounge is the only thing
that will remain. That doesn't do it for me!

I hope someone can lease it and revive the heart. Yes, we miss Cafe Spudnik
too. What are we supposed to do, meet our out-of-town friends for brunch
and conversation at [fill in the blank with your closest junk, fast food
factory].
This was not a high priced restaurant. Perhaps that's the explanation for
it not making it.

(I guess I'll just save some money and lose some weight....)
