Many parts to puzzle...

I'm still trying to make sense of it all.

1. There is a perceived need for a technology-focused business park in Moscow.
2. There is concern about maintaining the vitality of Moscow's downtown
district.
3. The Whitworth building, just a few blocks from downtown Main street,
needs a purpose.
4. The area proposed for the business park is on the edge of town,
expanding development into farmland.
5. The financial means to pull this together is hinged on an "urban blight"
area, yet the proposed business park does nothing to help the "blighted"
area, or contribute to the "vitality" of downtown Moscow (perhaps the next
"blighted area"?).

Is there an opportunity we are missing?

Wouldn't it be great if the "urban renewal" money could be used to
rennovate the Whitworth building into the needed office space? What a
coup! Workers patronizing downtown business, potentially walking to and
from work, easier access to the university, and a local landmark preserved
and made useful.

Well, just an idea.
