Paul Hawken, author of The Ecology of Commerce and other books, is the
featured speaker at the Inland Northwest Pollution Prevention Expo 96 in
Spokane Wednesday, April 10. This is, I gather, the seventh annual expo,
and it apparently will feature a lot of seminars and exhibitions on
different aspects of recycling etc. 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Spokane Convention
Center. Info: 509 326-6885. One catch: Hawkin is speaking at lunch, and
the tab is $25. If you skip Hawken the expo is free. (I apologize if
I'm repeating an announcement that's already been circulated. I was
knocked off the list for awhile.)
