Can anyone answer Lori's question about the purchase of that property?

Living at the East end of town and having to deal with the disaster which is
Mountain View Road on a daily basis, there seems to me to be no doubt that
something has to happen to make the road safe. I strongly support the Project.

I would like to offer another suggestion for alleviating the traffic
pressure on Mountain View Road, particularly for those folks who make heavy
use of Mountain View Park during the summer months.

The property just west of the park (about 5 acres) belongs to Mr. Blacker,
and is currently just outside of the City limits. I believe that this
property offers a great opportunity to enlarge Mountain View Park as well as
create another potential access to the Park by pushing Eisenhower St.
through to Mountain View. I would like to see the City take out an option
to consider purchasing this land, something which ought to be done
immediately. Such a move would give the City the opportunity to make
Mountain View Park into a really premiere park with added space for
recreational activities and adequate access.

Am I the only one thinking this way or have others considered this as well?
