Bill and Steve,
What's bothering me about the Business Park is the fact that, as Steve
pointed out in his post, the negotiations are not public. Indeed, the
whole planning process seems to be virtually done when it comes to the
public. Now, I understand the need for details to be private, but the
basic idea of a business park, possible locations, & financing seems like
it should be public. I was really bothered that apparently the lack of
public knowledge wasn't an oversight, but intentional? How can we ever
have community involvement in such planning if commercial development
planning is considered confidential? Correct me if I am misinterpreting
your post, Steve.
Anyway, as part of a forum, I would like some discussion on the process
of planning for commercial development and where the public can
meaningfully fit in.
Thanks.
Diane
