Bill,I think you are right on the mark. Every month the commissioners must
scrutinize the bills charged to the county by local businesses for services
rendered. If on the one hand you are charged with promoting local business
through the chamber and on the other hand the steward of tax dollars, as in
most back-room politics money talks. there is no way that you can represent
either entity with-out conflict.
  On this particular issue the prosecutor has squandered his credibility in
saying that all that is required is to declare your conflict and proceed.
This is an about face in the advice to the board of county commissioners.
  The public should not for a moment tolerate the lack of fiscal oversight
of tax dollars and pro-economic development at any cost proceed. Who is
goning to oversee the proliferation of cell towerrs in the area of impact
and the county? AT&T, cell one,Ma Bell., Who is going to proctect the local
enviroment $ from the mining/logging industry or your conflicted
commissioner.
