Re[2]: Moscow suicide

     Friends,

I am in Walla Walla, and the online newspapers (if they are reporting
the details) are not yet available. Would someone be kind enough to
write to me with any specific information, like who it was who
     committed suicide, what time, where?

     Many thanks.

     Concerned,
     Susan Palmer

Mayme: I wish I could be home everyday when my kids arrive from school,
however, with three children, my husband and I both need to work.

I heard the tragic news from my teenage son as soon as I arrived home. He
was quite distraught because the young man was his friend. We spent the
evening discussing the suicide, (as a family), which I believe, helped ease
my son's pain.

This young man's death is heartbreaking for everyone: his family, friends,
schoolmates, teachers, and our community. Pointing the finger at parents
who were not home, (mainly because they work for a living), will not help
any of us.

Best regards --- Julia

I think you were a little tough on the people involved. The child killed
himself at the lunch hour and for it to be in the evening news is a little
insensitive. The school stayed open last night to help students as much as
they could. Very commendable for our teachers to give up their home life to
care for our kids through this. Parents needed to be home yesterday when
their kids came home from school with this news.

Were they?
