Joan brings up an interesting point about postings done on her own time from
a U of I account. But I wonder what U of I's policy is on employees using
university accounts for private postings or business at tax payers expense
at any time of day? I often hear complaints about that system being
overburdened. Perhaps private use contributes to the problem.

Yes, and let's get those wheels rolling.

The kids are working hard on the raising money for the skate
park. They have raised approximately half of the necessary
funds. April 26th they will be hosting a small children's
carnival, followed by the basketball game between the skaters
and cops....More information will coming out about this
following their meeting today. I'm so happy that someone wants
to know.

I have had to curtail my time on the vision2020 as
someone felt the need to send my postings anonymously to UI
asking if it was done on work time. Which it was not. You talk
about the shame of someone asking to verify a rumor on the site. How
about people on the site trying to injure individuals for their
input? So, those of you from UI beware what is said and when.

Subscribers: Speaking of youth, how about an update on the skateboard park.
I checked the archives and the last posting was 5 March. Would like to hear
more about the progress. Many, many months ago I signed a petition for the
skateboard park when a very polite boy brought it in to my downtown
business. I thought it had merit then, and I still do. My original offer of
help in fundraising still stands.
