Lori, I have worried for some time about a way to respond to you because we
have know each other for such a long time. I worry that you are making
accusations which you can not prove should someone come back at you for
slander--or libel, inasmuch as you have printed this. In high school when
other students said hurtful things to you, you replied in ways that made
them believe it didn't matter. But it did, some, didn't it? You have
grown up to be a remarkable young woman in so many ways. I am proud of you
for many reasons--your loyalty to David is only one. Please think about
what you are saying here about others. You may see it as being honest, and
I am sure you believe it to be so; but should you be wrong you are in real
danger of creating harm for yourself as well as others. Write back and let
me know what you are doing these days. And I want you to know I have
always been grateful for your kindness to Leslie as the two of you were
growing up together.
