I totally agree with Lois Melina; this area needs a large indoor pool.
But I don't think it's fair to ask Moscow residents to foot the bill alone
when undoubtedly county residents would use it if built.
Why not some type of joint bond issue, with Moscow paying x percentage
and Latah County picking up the rest?
This same type of cost sharing should be used to finance the proposed
'skate park' for kids and teenagers (and some of us more daring adults).
Since the Latah Fairgrounds may be moved, that might be a great spot for
both the pool and the skate park (and maybe an outdoor ice skating rink
to boot). Jo Williams
